A couple of months ago I read that the Harlem Globetrotters were coming back to OKC. We have seen them in the past but it’s still fun to go and I knew that my kids would enjoy seeing them again. But when I looked at ticket prices I decided that we would skip this year because we are cutting back on expenses and this just wasn’t in the budget. (thanks Dave Ramsey)
But last month I saw a link on FB that Oklahoma City Moms Blog had a Giveaway for a Harlem Globetrotters package. So I jumped right over to their blog to register. If you haven’t checked out their blog yet, you really should.
Did you catch that? It sounds familiar to my blog, but I am not associated with it. But how cool would it be if I was, right?! The contributors over there all seem to be awesome! Maybe some-day. Hey, a girl can dream right?!
How often do you register for Giveaways?
I had completely forgotten about the Giveaway until I received an email from Erin that I had won the Harlem Globetrotters package. I was so excited, especially since I haven’t won anything in quite a while! Plus I knew that my boys would be so excited!
If getting four (4) FREE tickets wasn’t enough, we also received an autographed (full-size) Harlem Globetrotters basketball, 2 souvenir cups, and two (2) packages of wristbands.
Although, they were like “MOM” when I wanted to take their picture, this is them excited when they found out that we were going to see the Harlem Globetrotters:
We thoroughly enjoyed getting to watch the Harlem Globetrotters last weekend and had great seats. It was funny & entertaining, keeping the attention of an audience of all ages. The Harlem Globetrotters are talented players/entertainers with their tricks, shots, and moves. The jokes and gags with the rest of the team and some in the audience were great. It was an interactive comedy game of sorts, keeping the audience engaged and having a good time. The players seem to really enjoy what they are doing and seem to work well with each other. And it was hilarious to watch Big G jump around and slam himself down onto the court. I even recorded it on my smartphone but it was too blurry to show here. But here are a few pictures that I wanted to share with you.
After much anticipation from the stands, the Harlem Globetrotters have made it to the court:

Have you been to see the Harlem Globetrotters? What was your experience like when you attended?
Did you know that the Harlem Globetrotters have a camp for kids ages 6-12? I had no idea and there isn’t one in our area, but we may consider taking a little vacation and letting our youngest attend. I think it would be a great opportunity. If you’re looking for more information or want to see if the camp is near you here is link Harlem Globetrotters Basketball Camp for kids.
